Davis Gulch Road Improvement

The City of Helena is considering an application to the Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) to fund improvements to Davis Gulch Road. The City is seeking public feedback on the proposal before applying.

Proposed work includes:

• Resurface roadway with asphalt surfacing.
• Shoulder flattening and minor widening as feasible to improve roadside safety.
• New guardrail added at steep slopes – road widening will also occur at these areas if feasible.
• Expansion of Deford Trail parking lot. Consider surfacing of existing parking lots with new asphalt.
• Add new gravel surfacing on adjacent Deford trail.

FLAP applications are due May 15, 2021. A survey was conducted to receive input on the proposal. The survey has closed.
