The City of Helena is working on a neighborhood plan for the Railroad/Midtowne district. The neighborhood plan will serve as a guide for policy, planning, and zoning in the area.
A final draft of the Railroad District Neighborhood Plan is now available for review.
Public comment will be accepted regarding the draft plan by using the comment form below, or emailing malvarez@helenamt.gov.
In November of 2022, a series of interviews were conducted by SCJ Alliance to begin gathering input from community members. In March of 2023, planning workshops were held to further develop a vision for the neighborhood plan.
The draft plan was presented to the Joint City-County Planning Board on Tuesday, December 17. Please note, minor changes were made to the final draft plan and published on December 5. The link below is for the updated document, which includes minor changes to the acknowledgements and Figure 21. The original final draft document is available in the resources section of this page.
