Civilian Review Board Work Group

The City of Helena is engaging in a review process for key areas of police operations. The review will enlist the help of community leaders to form work groups. The Civilian Review Board Work Group is the first of six being formed.

The level of involvement that Civilian Review Boards have with local law enforcement agencies varies greatly from place to place. This work group has been created to discuss the possibility of establishing a Civilian Review Board for Helena’s Police Department.

As the work group becomes active, additional resources such as meeting summaries and agendas, will be made available. The public is welcome to provide public comment at these meetings. Questions about this process may be directed to the Q&A section below.
