The City of Helena is currently accepting comments on its' Backflow Policy. Please review the draft Policy below and provide comment. The City gathered feedback on the policy in 2022 and hosted two public meetings. Changes have been incorporated into the proposed policy.

The City will host a final public meeting on February 8 to gather input on the proposed final draft. The City is also collecting comments on the updated policy using the form below.

One of the most important parts of the new policy will be section II, D. This section outlines requirements for existing properties, specifically when they must meet the same requirements as new construction. Staff are asking for constructive input on where this trigger point should be. Please keep in mind that the ultimate goal of is to have all services in our system meet these standards.
